Interesting to see Stevie Wilkie has now turned away from two's and focussed on the sweep money. His tactics are better than Walter Smith's! Never fails.
There are almost 70 attending the prizegiving, but always room for more! Am assured the comedian is even better than Dean Park. Phone me if you wish to go.Wednesday Sweepstake October 21 Entries, including Juniors: 44 C.S.S: 69

- Well, there is always someone who spoils the party. Having seen the 'pot' increase to over £110 for the twos in category A, an excellent carrot, which resulted in more of this group playing than at any other time of the year, along came Paul McFarlane to scoop up the lot. Interestingly, prior to play, he had asked the soon-to-retire Jim Duncan the state of his account and was upset to hear that he was in negative equity. This was just the catalyst required for his best round of the year.
With absolutely fantastic weather and no wind we would have expected play to proceed quite quickly. Not in the least! Almost every player took time to study that fine example of modern architecture that is known as 'the barn' and reflect on how they had managed to miss this magnificent building, with its flaking painted door, battered old roof and rickety brickwork. With the forum devotees calling for the restoring of this edifice to its former glory and bringing it into a more visual prominence on the course by the removal of the trees masking it, everyone threw in their tuppence worth and play slowed down to a crawl.
Section two saw tremendous scoring from the three Macs in McCracken, Haggis McTavish and McDowell with nothing to separate the sweepstake winnings, each with a net 65.
Section three was a battle of the 20 handicappers, where the every improving Danny Maloney tookm top place from Tam Mcghie and Andy McEwing.
David Barr made a return to the fold in section one where he managed to win the section by virtue of his net 65, pipping the now minted Paul McFarlane and Jim Fulton (remember him?).
Anyone for the prizegiving?

It is interesting to note that the winners were runners up in the first scramble. Specialists it seems. A Mr Willy Dixon has secured the first hole in one of the season. This cleans up the 'Two's' pot. Messrs Barr, Young, Kerr and Ellis (who were all sympathetic to my own plight last week, receive no end of sympathy for their four twos, but nothing more substantial).
Please remember that the Annual Presentation of Prizes will take place on Friday October 23. I have deliberately avoided Halloween, as many members were otherwise engaged on that night haunting hooses. All members can attend this major event and non winners, who take the effort to come and congratulate the more fortunate amongst us, are particularly welcome.
If it is any solace, then the M & H convenor is not collecting his annual trophy this year. Some sort of administrative slip up, I believe.Player A

The Captains Trophy winner, having played in glorious sunshine and gentle cooling wisps of a much needed breeze was Andy Brands. Our thoughts at this time must surely go to the supremely unfortunate runner up, who toiled and struggled round in torrential rain, was battered by gale force winds and suffered a lost ball at the ninth (not to mention being dragged along by Big Eck at 100mph) was George Deveney.

- Phenomenal scoring from Graham Forbes. Rollovers in the twos have been cleaned up, except for category A players. Ian McDermid gets 2 twos in his section and squeezes out £6. Unlucky. What about removing the 16th hole from the Category C group in order to generate a bit of interest?

Eddie KingThis Sunday sees the return of a singles open competition to the club. Pat Tinney has kindly agreed to run the event. With the majority of members being unable to play on the Saturday then a good turnout is expected. Very generously, Pat has decided to have the following as a prize fund in order to attract a reasonable field.
Scratch - £100. Net; 1st - £150, 2nd - £100 and 3rd - £50.
This will only apply if the current entrants all turn up and if not, then the prize fund will be reduced accordingly. The entry fee is only £6.
I would also draw your attention to the prizegiving night which will be held on Friday October 23. Details to follow.Wed Medal .......23 Sept 09................ 70 Players..................... CSS 70

Last weekend witnessed a typical situation which arises in the golfing arena.
On Friday, at the inaugural AM AM Day, the leaders in the clubhouse were busy wondering how they would spend their winnings. In an unbelievable act of folly they even asked for a 'sub' on the strength of their position, in order to go to Word Up, prior to the completion of the competition.Sitting pretty on 131, Johnny Caldwell, Jimmy McAulay, Cameron McLellan and Donald Bryceland were getting well oiled on the Magners, when, out of the blue, the last game came in.The three Rhoy Bhoys, plus Simon Harley, incredibly took seven shots of the real Bhoys and returned a 124. Terrific scoring. The committee would like to thank all the members who played on the day and also all the visitors.
On Saturday we had the second round of the HG McLennan. After round one we thought the trophy would be a straight shoot out between the leaders on 62, Andy Burgess and Billy Dixon. Well, like his namesake, Andy must be a double agent. Unlike the previous week, where he turned up disguised as a golfer, he resumed his alternate and real guise and went down quicker than Aidwardo McGeady when met by a gust of wind.
Being the athlete that he is, Billy decided his best approach would be to stick with his tried and trusted pre match routine.Taxi to club (from less than half a mile away), 'All day fry up' on arrival which he washed down by copious pints of Guinness. Having taken the trouble to study the leaderboard, Billy knew exactly what he needed to do. Score 70. A comfortable start of three straight fours was followed by the next six holes in 9 over par. Drastic action was required if the trophy was to be secured! Having N/R'd, Jim Elliott was dispatched to the nearest Spar for a replenishment to the carry oot! Not being able to turn on the magic of the previous week, Billy stumbled to an inward nine of 40. Net 71.
Earlier in the day, Paolo, who is not quite a stallion, more of an Italian pony, put together a level par front nine and followed it up with a back nine which he finished with three crucial pars to take the trophy on the countback of the better second round. As usual, Paolo ensures one piece of silverware each year is dispatched to his mantlepiece.H.G.McLennan Round 2 August 29 142 Entries C.S.S: 70

With the weather abating, we managed to actually have a competiton on Saturday. The H G McLennan Trophy is always a well supported event, due to it being over two rounds. The members who did turn up, saw a course, which has had to withstand a huge ammount of rain over the last month, in fantastic condition. The prize for the best kept hole is still up for grabs, with the fourth being the definite favourite just now. Well done to all members, as the number of pitchmarks has decreased and the litter problem is on the wane.
Anyway, phenomenal scoring took place over the first round and we may need to check the gender of the leaders, in case of dispute. Any volunteers?
Absolutely blowing away everyone else in his section was Billy Dixon. The 70 of Jim Fleming and 71 of Frank McCormick should not even be mentioned alongside a net 62 from Billy, which even included a 7 at the ninth.
Section 2 saw a similar, but not as dramatic a lead being opened up by Andy Burgess. His personal highlite was a 3 at the eleventh. Andy has never been known for having any great length, so it must have been a holed pitch shot for the 25th birdie of the year at this hole.
There was much more of a competition in section one. Returning net 66's were Kenny Roy, Paolo Spella, Conn Nelis and Willie Kemp. However,Allan Brands, having had a super front nine of 36, held on for a net 65 to win the group.
Club Champion Craig Thomson, who must have been bouyed by his impressive write up in the 'Tele', returned a scratch 68 to scoop the fiver available.

Championship Final
The final of the Championship was fought out in really tough conditions with the wind allied to some 'interesting' pin positions, particularly at the ninth resulting in a difficult day for our finalists. With Craig Thomson having beaten young Gareth Caldwell in his semi and Graham Forbes coming through a real tough examination from Simon Middleton, who was unlucky in having four birdies and getting beat at the last with a super gross score, we were set up for the best two players contesting the final.
It was pointed out from one of our more learned members (Neil Cooke?) that, with the difference in handicaps, young Graham should not reach the 68th hole of the match. This prophecy was to be well out. Neil should stick to the cricket.
In the morning round, ably refereed by Archie Wog, Craig showed why he is the defending champion and his 70 shots against Graham's 73 resulted in a 3 up at lunch result.
Coming out of the blocks like a train in the afternoon, Graham went to the eighth hole in 3 under par to square the match, but a poor second shot on ninth put him in an impossible position and Craig went one up after 27 with a par.
Two further errors allowed Craig to go back to his seemingly unassailable 3 up with only 6 to play. However, it was now Craig's turn to display nerves when he missed a tiddler at the fifteenth and Graham fought back to be only one down with 3 to play. Under tremendous pressure, Graham got up and down from a bunker at the 34th hole to remain with a realistic chance of winning the title.
A poor drive which went down the wee course from Craig at 35, meant that a regulation par from Graham saw the championship all square with one hole to play.
A massive crowd were enthralled. Both of them!
Previously unflappable throughout the campaign, Craig seemed to be rattled coming down the stretch and appeared to be struggling badly. He had never been behind in any match and it looked all over when he put his tee shot into King's Burn and Graham knocked his down the middle of the fairway, although a bit further back than he would want.
From his dropped shot, under penalty, Craig then put his wood into the top bunker. Graham will live to regret not making sure that he did not do the same with his second shot, but, that is exactly what he did. With the championship looking all over, Craig, a la Trevino many years ago, flopped his bunker shot right into the hole for a four. Unbelievable! A totally bewildered Graham could only get his shot out to around twenty feet, from where he missed his par putt.
I doubt if there has ever been a more dramatic end to our championship final. It is such a cruel game but we are sure that Graham overcomes his disappointment to have a successful golfing career.
By proving the predictor wrong (only just mind you) Craig now has elevated himself into equal fifth in the all time winners list, joining the legendary Jack McIlravey with four titles.Championship Matches - Wednesday 29 July 2009
A healthy crowd witnessed the quarter final of the championship, last night.
Game One had Simon Middleton, who has really taken advantage of getting in through the back door to now reach the semis, defeat Scott Hunter by 4 & 3.
Game two saw the Graham Forbes deliver the goods against Crawford Rae. Crawford could do nothing when up against a run of birdies on 5, 6, 7,and 8 and then again at 12. A 5 & 4 victory sets Graham up nicely for his match against Simon.
Game three was the rehersal of the upcoming Junior final. This match was the only one where it was tight all the way. Unlike his performance last year, when his short game was second to none, Alex McGregor's putting seemed to be very suspect last night and Gareth took full advantage of this and he overcame Alex at the last.
Game four was a demonstration by holder Craig Thomson that he was in no mood to reliquish his title. With a long range birdie at the first, Craig was never behind against young Riccardo DiMurro and he had another three birdies and eventually won on the fifteenth.
The semi finals are on Friday night at 5pm.Section 1

Championship Matches - Monday 27 July 2009
The Roys crash out. Triple Whammie for the Roy Bhoys in last night's matches.
In game one, Simon, who got in the back door, put to rest a hoodoo which has been hanging over him for a few years. In an uncanny repeat of a classic recent situation, Simon was two up on Alistair Roy with two to play and lost both. Getting ever nearer the third hole, however, Alistair shoved his tee shot out of bounds at the twentieth to see Simon through.
Captain Alex Roy was comfortably seen off by recent finalist Scott Hunter.
Would be professional,Graham Forbes won 4 and 3 against the club's own version of Ian Poulter in Gordon Leith.
Multiple champion, Crawford Rae was a runaway victor against first time qualifier, David Ness in winning 6 & 5.
In the battle of the brothers there was sweet revenge for Gary when he defeated Johnny Caldwell 3 & 2. Also destroyed yours truly's predictions.
Last year's beaten finalist Alex McGregor was too good for another first timer in beating Barry Sproul 3 & 2.
Current holder Craig Thomson was too good for Kenny Roy and ran out a 3 & 2 winner.
The biggest shock of the night was Riccardo DiMurro's win against junior hater Graeme McLellan by a 4 & 3 margin.
On Wednesday we will have the following ties, played at 5pm.
Simon Middleton v Scott Hunter. Really difficult to call, but will stick with Scott, which I got correct earlier.
Graham Forbes v Crawford Rae. I think that Graham, who has an excellent Newton Shield record at home, will reach the final, so Crawford will be out to prove me wrong.
Alex McGregor v Gary Caldwell. This is a dress rehersal of the upcoming junior final and I dont like to do this, but will change ships and go with Gary.
Craig Thomson v Riccardo DiMurro. Only a miracle can stop Craig from reaching the final and I do not think Riccardo posesses the firepower at this stage in his career to stop this golfing juggernaut.Championship Qualifiers - Sunday 26 July 2009
Thanks must go to Morry Glen for getting up on Sunday and going out to examine the course and push surface water off the greens affected by overnight rain. This helped to ensure Sunday's round went ahead.
The Championship quailfying threw up the usual mixed bag of qualifiers in first timers, juniors and old hands.Again, as is usual, there are a few eminent ommisions also.
181 would-be contenders set out on Saturday with many hoping, not for their dream round, but, almost impossibly, trying to put together their two best ever rounds and make it happen consecutively.
Well, miracles can happen and Barry Sproul went out on Saturday and shot a lifetime best round of 72 to put him into contention. His round included three twos. Barry turned up on the Sunday morning to play in really poor weather and held his nerve to record a 78 to qualify in 14th place.
Joining him in the matchplay stages is another debutant in David Ness. Davie had four twos in his first round 74 and he also braved the weather on Sunday to return a 75 for 13th place.
Along with Riccardo DiMurro these were the first timers who will attempt to take a scalp of the more established qualifiers.
Boring everyone for years about being the only Roy (Brabender excluded) to capture the Syd Montford trophy, Kenny was a bit disappointed to find out that Alistair was the winner of one of our few scratch trophies at the club.
A two round total of 142 pipped Graeme McLellan by a stroke. Incredibly, Jimmy Kidd insists that, in 1971, he shot 141 in the championship qualifiers, but there was no trophy in those days to record his achievment on. That Irn Bru can play havoc on one's mind, I believe.
And so to the draw.
Only the withdrawal of Stuart Alexander due to work committments allowed Simon Middleton to progress to round one.
Alistair Roy v Simon Middleton. A caddyless Simon ( the absence of Andy Brands is surely no coincidence, as last year, many leading neurologists were struggling to remove a putter from the cranium of Andy which somehow became embedded as he left the fourteenth green having watched Simon three putt.) will struggle with memories of a play off defeat against Al. Alistair to win.
Captain Alex Roy v Recent runner up, Scott Hunter. The course management, accuracy from the tee and control will see Scott providing the biggest upset of the night.
Graham Forbes v Gordon Leith. Two teenage boys will match up in a battle of the club's future. The extra experience of Graham will take him through.
David Ness v Crawford Rae. 4 twos will mean absolutely nothing to Crawford who will be bouyed by an ALBA cup victory for the 'Ton. He will be thankful to have dodged a junior in round one but will be a tad more nervous when he progresses to play one on Wednesday.
Alex McGregor v Barry Sproul. If it were a boxing match, then it would not get past the first ten seconds. However, in a mismatched battle golf wise, last years runner up, Alex, will put the old adage of a good big one versus a good wee one to bed and leave Barry with memories of qualifying.
Gary Caldwell v Johnny Caldwell. Another no win situation for the parents of both boys. Gareth still has not forgiven the match secretary for predicting his defeat by Johnny recently and will be all out to prove him wrong in saying that Johnny will progress again this year.
Craig Thomson v Kenny Roy. The match of the round will feature the current holder and three times champion playing against over achiever Kenny. Kenny generally reaches the quarters or semis, but this year will see a first round exit and a particularly difficult set of opponents for Craig to contend with if he is to achieve a 'threepeat'.
Riccardo DiMurro v Graeme McLellan. Taking on Big Mac in his first ever matchplay round, it might be worthwhile for unknown quantity Riccardo, just reminding Graeme about his recent record against juniors. However, Graeme should forget about juniors holing second shots at the ninth and other amazing feats and go into a quality quarter final field on Wednesday.
The games start at 5pm and I can speak for all involved that they would really appreciate any member giving up their time to come along and lend their support.
July Monthly Medal
Jim Duncan put together an incredible round of net 68 which included five sixes and an eleven!!! He had eleven pars off a handicap of seventeen.
We are now at a stage where the scoring is particularly low and another deliberate player, in Steven Wilkie, has returned from his incarceration down under to record a net 67 in section three. The runner up in the section was Charlie King with a season's best of net 66 and Laurence Taylor made a mockery of his 23 handicap with a 64.
Section two saw the last player to come in, returning the best score. Jamie McEwan continues to reduce his handicap and has done so with a net 65. Kenny Piper also had a net 65. We can only assume he had a marker for his scorecard.
In the absence of any of the big names, Jim Logue has stepped in to pick up the scratch prize and his 71 less 8 is his best net score for a long time. Doctor Frasier Gray (only other Doctor Frasier we know is Crane, but our Frasier is much funnier) continues excellent form with a net 64 also.

The Centenary Quaich 2009
With one of the best turnouts of the year, 168, laying to rest the myth that the number of competitors drop during the weeks of the old Greenock Fair fortnight scoring was again superb.
In section three the sweepstake returns saw a real cross section of the membership. Member of just two years, Laurence Taylor and member of very many years, Albert Finch, could not be separated for the second place, with both scoring net 66. In his very first season involved in golf, David Whiteford has seen his more than generous handicap of 24 get whittled down week on week. With a background in hockey, David has no problem in getting the ball round the course and only a bit of course management is missing from his game. David will rue a seven at fourteen, which sees him miss out on the Quaich by virtue of a poorer net back nine. Only two weeks ago David came runner up in the Charity Salver.
Tremendous scoring in section two came from both Haggis McTavish and the incredible shrinking man, otherwise known as Steven Cameron number two. Both players returned net 65’s to share second place in the section. However, the winner of the section and the Quaich is doubles specialist Willie Kemp. Willie is one of those guys who hits the ball for miles and a score was always on the cards. Even running up a seven at the eleventh did not scupper him. This is just reward for a season where Willie has been at the sharp end of some very dodgy M & H decisions, both home and away in various Open competitions.
Section one saw Nicol McCloy continuing his good run of form and Duncan Anderson returning to form where both shot 74. Barry Sproul just could not match their net 66’s and returned a 67.
Paul McFarlane, remember him?, captured his once a year scratch prize with a 71.
Our Newton Shield team, who have been coached and coerced all season by Davie MacFarlane, take themselves to Elderslie tonight where they will play against Cochrane Castle in this year’s final. We wish them well. (We wish who well? Ed).

Terrific entry for a Wednesday. Definitely the best ever, albeit one member's patience (or well documented lack of) was put to the test as regards the pace of play. Perhaps golf is played faster over the border.
The entry sheet for the Member & Guest Day has been put up and I would like to remind members that their names will be removed if the entry of £12 is not received.
There is a healthy level of interest in the AM AM of Friday August 28 and if members wish to secure a time then they really need to get their entry posted as soon as possible. Many afternoon times are being captured already.
The Wilow trophy is probably sewn up by Archie, but have posted the leaderboard in case anyone wants to make some sort of a challenge.Willow Trophy - July 8 Entries 142 C.S.S: 69

Over the last couple of competitions we have had some terrific scores, with Jonny Caldwell returning another Wednesday 65 and Stevie McCafferty having a 71 less 8. However, I believe that the club has never seen such consistent scores as those on Fair Saturday. Every winner of their section had a net 63 and this reflects superbly on the condition of the course, as these scores would not be possible otherwise.I will take a chance and say that many players had their best ever rounds over the weekend.
In section 3, 17 handicapper Kevin Murphy ran away with the first place with two halves of 40.
Section two saw Robert McLeod take advantage of the centuries-old club bye-law which allows anyone to take part on Greenock Fair Saturday and live up to his prediction that he had a good score in him. However, Tony McKenzie shot an excellent 75 less 12 to equal Robert's 63, but pip him on the countback. Tony's achievement is even more admirable,as he always plays around tee time on a Saturday, and he managed to run round the course, putting together a lifetime best round and still beat the curfew at the club. Big Eck might have a contender for fastest player.
Unbelievably,in section one, we had eight handicappers Stevie McDonald and Stuart Alexander scoring 73 and 72 respectively. However, the best round of the weekend was from Graham McIntyre. 9 handicapper Graham sandwiched his front nine with two bogeys at each end and was out in forty. A blistering back nine of 32 where he finished with two birdies saw his handicap slashed.
Graeme McLellan, the silent assassin, will be pleased to pick up the scratch prize in a field which included all the stars of the club. He will be even more delighted at scooping the rollover for the two's, but not as much as Iain Duncan in section three. £70 is not bad for a couple of shots.Fair Saturday Sweepstake July 4 Entries 147 C.S.S:69

Championship Matches - Wednesday 29 July 2009

Hi Gents,
Sorry about the delay in getting results posted. With there being the challenge of members having two decisions this week in that they had to know if they were, firstly, over fifty five years of age and then we really tested them by enquiring if they were over sixty five years of age.
We still had a whole raft of players who did not want me to know how old they are and also a few, who, for some reason only known to themselves, want to own up to being over fifty five when they are not even thirty five. Next year it will be birth certificates and not handicap certificates we will ask for, prior to entry.
Anyway, congratulations to Nicol McCloy in taking the Turner Quaich only a few days after his sixty fifth birthday.
The Whinhill seniors 'draw' was made and has thrown up the following.
William Bell (57) v Alan Young (60). Using the old biblical adage of 'Always beware a new member coming from the Port bearing high handicap' then I will go for William. This will save Alan going to the bar.
Tom McGhie (67) v Nicol McCloy (65). As Big Tam is still recovering from being stretched on a rack and then having his toenails extracted by the match and handicap committee in order to elicit his age, then Nicol to progress.
Jim Kerrigan (56) v Jim Fulton (58). An electrifying performance in qualifying will not save Jim K. Jim Fulton will bury him.
Eddie King (70 plus) v Iain McFadyen (70). Eddie, runner up in the quaich, will lose out to Iain who is on a bit of a run.

It's a sign of getting older when policemen start to look like wee boys, but, when we come to the Laurie trophy and have golfing icons such as club champion Craig Thomson ticking the box to indicate eligibilty for this over 55 competition, then one indeed realises just how old they are becoming. However, the title of most youthful looking player at the club must surely go to Stuart Alexander. Magners pear cider seems to be the magic elixir for Stu. I would never have guessed that he was older than fifty, but there you go.
With it being seniors week then comment of achievement must not go amiss. Bill McCorkell, who was our only real away success last year, dusted down his electric zimmer last Wednesday and made the first ever defence of a Renfrewshire Seniors title.
Well done to Bill.
Iain McFadyen escaped the shackles of Dobie and went down to West Kilbride to plunder their seniors trophy. Well done to Iain whose handicap is in double figures for the first time in well over thirty years. As an interesting aside, Iain tells me he collected no sweep money for his efforts. The format at the event was to contribute a couple of pounds into the sweep and you were secretly given another player. These seniors might be devoid of hair and teeth and be a bit vacant, but that is surely taking a real loan of them.
And so to Royal Greenock on Saturday. The real early birds, who have been wandering about aimlessly for six weeks without the presence of Big Eck to lead them out in his capacity as official front runner, breathed a sigh of relief on his return to pole position. Alex who was frustrated at being 55 to the turn (minutes, not score) vented his anger at the tenth where he had a ‘Hole in Three’. Having lost his first ball somewhere doon the Bow Road he angrily threw his ball onto the tee and fired a pitching wedge onto the front of the green where it trickled into the hole. The big man was banging on the door of the bar at 0930 looking for a celebratory drink.
As regards the Laurie trophy itself, Jackie Norman must have thought it was in the bag with a net 66 which was at the top of the leaderboard for quite some time. However, a phenomenal, but not Irn Bru driven, score from Peter Harley took the title. A gross 84 which contained an eight at the eighth resulted in a net 62 to give Peter his second ever Laurie Trophy, after winning it in 1993!!
Brilliant!
The seniors championship qualifying, which also took place, saw the best line up since its inception in 2000. With the pins tucked away at the edges of the greens making it a bit difficult, we did not have interlopers such as Alan Moore or Drew Bryceland getting in the way of a good competition. The resulting qualifying score of 82 meant that Bill McCorkell and Jim Docherty lost out on the countback.
If we look at the qualifiers then only Nicol McCloy came from the unlucky players from a poor morning, weather wise. All the rest played in the afternoon after each one had taken advantage of Alan Young’s generosity at the bar.
The first round of a so called ‘draw’ produced four ties which are difficult to call, but we will give it a go.
Ian McDermid, current champion and five times winner will play Jim Kerr – Jim will not have to worry about cancelling any pre winter services from customers.
Previous runner up Raymond Barr v Alan Young - Tough one here, but Raymond says I am generally correct, so Alan to progress.
Greens guru Nicol McCloy, champion in 2002, v Jim Fulton.
Nicol’s experience to get him through.
First time qualifier Jim Logue v three times champion Iain McFadyen. Expect ‘Logie’ to get to the final.
Mention must go to Jonny Caldwell who had a terrific score on Wednesday of 65 and had a run at the course record only to run up a six at the seventeenth. Jonny now joins Murdie, Crawford and Craig as the scratch golfers at our club. (I see that Tim Henman is a scratch golfer also. Will resist Tim joke). Davie MacFarlane, at one, will just have to take solace in cleaning up the rollover two’s pot. He might treat himself to game somewhere nice with his winnings.
Next week sees a real challenge where the Whinhill Seniors (for over 55’s) takes place at the same time as the Turner Quaich (over 65’s).
